As most HAVOC cachers may have seen, I have taken a bit of an interest in pathtags since the Wagga Wagga mega mega event.
There is some more local information at the Pathtag Wiki.
I have found that these Items are a great fun idea, and can be traded worldwide in a normal envelope with average postage. Tonight I also noticed that hey are doing ‘glow’ again for a little while.
You own tags also can show up on a map, so you can see how far that they have spread.
I can’t work out how to embed a slideshow of my current pathtag collection into this post, but I have set an album up here.

I am in the process of inventing a PVC Cryptex.
There Isn’t that much useful information around that I have been able to use, So I wanted to bounce some inspiration around, for this future cache I am still constructing and planning.
I don’t want to give to much away about the actual hide, but I want to share some of the construction progress.
I was planning on cutting out some outer timber discs for the dials, but the crossgrain in the wood thwarted my efforts, as it gave way and would probably not stand up to the elements.
So now for the outer components I am soley using PVC tubing from bunnings. a mix of regular and high pressure pipe.
if you click on the picture it should take you to some more photos, but I haven’t put the time into describing them yet. I will probably sort them all out proper when the project is complete.
If you are still curious as to what a cryptex actually is… you may have to watch that ‘The Divinci Code’ movie or read the book. ( the books are better).

Darren’s April podcast has a wonderful wrap up of the oz mega wagga event. Including many interviews with cachers from all over. At the end of the podcast there is a teaser for next month. Particularly “a prankster at the oz mega”. Without giving too much away, let’s say, Darth trader doesn’t like eclipse mint containers on guard rails.
